The W2203 solves it by taking itself out of the way — it plugs into a wall socket, draws under 5 W, and runs a factory-set daily cycle of twelve hours on and twelve off.
A 10 mL bottle seats under the top cover with a quick swap, and the side rocker gives HIGH, OFF or LOW. A photosensor drives a white light at the base that comes on as the room darkens, so the same unit acts as a corridor night light after hours.

Yes. The photosensor and light are independent of the pump, so the unit still works as a plug-in night light if the oil runs out. That is deliberate: in a corridor, losing the light because someone forgot to refill would be a safety problem.
At roughly 0.8 ml/h across a 12-hour daily cycle, a 10 mL bottle covers about a day of running. Buyers should plan a refill routine, or specify the larger-bottle adapter if their site can support it.
